Matthew Schellhorn renews his collaboration with "electric" (Early Music Today) soprano Susanna Fairbairn with song recitals in Oxford and the Harwich Festival.

They will perform works by Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc and Colin Riley in a programme inspired by themes of childhood. On Saturday May 24 at 20:00 their performance in the Leonard Wolfson Auditorium, Oxford, will include the World Premiere of John Duggan's The Owl and the Pussycat. And on Friday 4th July at 13:00 their appearance in the Harwich Festival will include the World Premiere of Toby Young's Pretty Stories for Little Children.

New solo disc now available

Matthew Schellhorn's new disc, Ian Wilson: Stations, is released today, Sunday 6th April 2014. Released on Diatribe Records, Ireland's leading label for new music, this is Matthew Schellhorn's first solo CD.

Ian Wilson: Stations

Stations is a monumental piano work inspired by the Stations of the Cross. Describing the piece as "more contemplative than pictorial", The Irish Times has written that "Matthew Schellhorn plays with a control that matches the determination and focus of the work as a whole".

Launch concert this week

The launch concert will take place at St George's Cathedral, Southwark, on Tuesday 8th April 2014 at 19:30. The concert is free with a retiring collection in aid of the Holy Land and will include meditations by The Most Rev Bernard Longley, Archbishop of Birmingham. All are welcome.

The interview will air on April 5 and 6: Saturday, 1:00am – 2:00am and 11:00pm – 12:00am; Sunday, 6:00am – 7:00am and 8:00pm – 9:00pm (All Eastern times).
